Q: How do I get to the Viennese Ice Dream?

The Viennese Ice Dream is located on the Rathausplatz in Vienna's first district. Due to its central location, it is very easy to reach by public transport: * Lines 1, 71, D, U2Z (Rathausplatz / Burgtheater stop) * Line 2 (Parliament stop) * Line U2 (Schottentor, take the ‘Ring’ exit) * Line U3 (Volkstheater, take the ‘Ring’ exit) Information on how to get there at www.wienerlinien.at Getting there by bicycle: Cycle paths run both in front of (Universitätsring) and behind the City Hall (Friedrich-Schmidt-Platz). Plenty of bicycle parking is available. A Citybike station is located directly in front of the Rathauspark. Getting there by car: Paid parking is available in the BOE Garage Rathauspark directly below the City Hall Square.

In principle, the Viennese Ice Dream is also open in rain, snow and wind. However, in the event of storms (thunder, hail, etc.), the Viennese Ice Dream has to close for safety reasons. Any cancellations will be announced on this website at the earliest opportunity. Tip: You can check the current weather situation at the Rathausplatz via the webcam before you set off.

Q: Gibt es wieder eine Schulaktion?

Auch diese Saison lädt die Stadt Wien wieder alle Wiener Kindergärten, Schulen und Horte im Schulverband zum kostenlosen Eislaufen auf dem Wiener Eistraum ein. Diese "Schulaktion" gilt jeweils an Schultagen von Montag bis Freitag von 10 bis 16 Uhr. Die Tickets sind ohne Voranmeldung bei der Kassa nach Ausfüllen einer Empfangsbestätigung erhältlich. Im Rahmen dieser Schulaktion können zudem Schlittschuhe zum ermäßigten Preis ausgeliehen werden.
